At the Creative Clubhouse, we strive to create a warm, nurturing, and educational environment for our community to enjoy. To do so, we pride ourselves in hiring a team of staff that will welcome, engage and encourage anyone who enters the Clubhouse.
Hi everyone! I am Amy, a proud mama of three, who loves to get creative and a tad bit messy with my gang. I embrace the innocence of childhood and enjoy watching the littles as they explore and learn during those first years.
Upon arriving in Havertown five years ago, I was in search of a place where I could take my happy, but shy and cerebral child. After not finding what I was searching for, I decided to open the Creative Clubhouse.
My hopes were to take my love of children, my strong interests in the arts, and my knowledge of early childhood education and to create a warm, nurturing, and creative little gem for children of our community to enjoy.
My Masters degree from Bank Street College of Education as well as the 10+ years of teaching in a elite private preschool in Manhattan’s Upper Eastside gave me the confidence and knowledge to design and facilitate the Clubhouse’s progressive, Reggio Emilia inspired, (some call it hippy dippy) way of encouraging children to explore, create and learn.
Clubhouse’s Corner Enrichment Program Director / Lead Teacher
Lauren Fremont brings 15 years of preschool classroom experience to our program. Most recently she worked with the Haverford Recreation Department to set up the Little Explorers preschool program – developing the curriculum, mentoring staff, and leading the classroom instruction. She graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelors in Education. Lauren developed a passion for progressive education during her time at the School in Rose Valley. She has three active boys ages 18, 13, and 10. They keep her busy and help remind her that everyday is different and learning happens all the time. When she is not in the classroom, you may find her walking the local trails with her family and, of course, her dog Finn.
